Anti-Phorm Petition

By John F | April 26, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

The “Phorm Storm” is raging hard and fast. A petition against it is available at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ispphorm/

I have signed it and will shortly be speaking to Virgin Media who provide my broadband connection. If you conduct a search for “stop phorm” via a search engine you will see a huge amount of results. 99.9% of it is all negative feedback and anger towards the three ISP’s, BT [who have already performed Phorm tests on over 30,000 of their customers], TalkTalk and Virgin Media.

If you are in the UK, I urge you to sign the petition, even if you are with an ISP currently not signed up to Phorm. I have recently read that Sky are seriously thinking about signing up to Phorm. No doubt, a few more ISP’s will follow suit.

The petition link is here - http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ispphorm/

Apologies to any visitors outside the UK. But is your country going to follow suit if Phorm does go ahead in the UK?
