If you’re based in the UK and you have your Internet connection with Virgin Media, BT or TalkTalk, then your browsing history is being watched, monitored and then sold on. This smacks of privacy invasion to pimp our browsing habits out, without permission, to make even more profits.
The following website http://www.badphorm.co.uk/ has information regarding http://www.phorm.com/ and it makes for some interesting and worrying reading. I’m currently with Virgin Media and this has me worried somewhat.
If this takes off in the UK, then I can see it possibly go worldwide. On average we see between 600 - 1500 advertising messages a day. Now technology will try to serve us with adverts that relate to our browsing habits. 1984 is coming along shortly.
